I have to be honest; I thought this semester was going to be quieter for Teddy Bear Hospital – how wrong was I! By the end of the semester, the society will have organised SIXTEEN school visits, making it THIRTY-NINE school visits for the year. On top of that, Teddy Bear Hospital has raised over £460 for our two amazing charities – Mary’s Meals and Children Hospice Association Scotland. Clearly there is no such thing as a quiet semester.

None of this could have been done if it wasn’t for our fantastic members. You guys deserve all the praise the schools have given you for the work you have put in. If it wasn’t for you giving up your time on a Wednesday afternoon, we couldn’t do what we do. A big thank you also goes to my committee. They have definitely made life a lot easier for me. All the school visits, speakers, and charity events could not have happened if it wasn’t for them. If you want to get more involved with Teddy Bear Hospital, now is your chance. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as President of Teddy Bear Hospital and myself and the rest of the committee have left the society in a fantastic place for the following years. There is still plenty of room for the society to improve and expand, and if you want to be part of the future of the Society, then you should run for the committee.

I hope that everyone who has been part of the Society this year has enjoyed themselves, as I know the children enjoyed the school visits. If you have any questions about the society, than please email me at tbhsta@st-andrews.ac.uk.

Lots of Teddy Bear Love,
Teddy Bear Hospital Committee
