Since September Sexpression has had a very busy and exciting time! We have become our own officially affiliated society, and have more volunteers trained than ever before. We have already had multiple school visits in two local high schools covering the topics of “Contraception and STIs” and “Healthy Relationships”, which so far have had really positive feedback from the pupils. We have been approached by the psychology magazine, Fem Soc, and The Stand for interviews and articles, and our Secretary Rebecca Ryce went to the Scottish Parliament to present a Sexpression UK petition to make SRE compulsory in Scotland. We also sent four members to the Sexpression National Conference in Leicester, where we were awarded “Most Improved Branch” and two of our members were elected onto the National Committee. We have more school visits coming up, as well as the Scottish Sexpression Conference to plan for which is being held in St. Andrews this year on the 31st January – 1st February.
