Teddy Bear Hospital is a health promotion project for local primary school children. The aim of the society is to teach children about health and healthcare through playing games and planned activities. This year Teddy Bear Hospital St Andrews is planning a fantastic year full of school visits and some crazy fundraising events. Being part of this society involves developing communication skills, working with people and children and making medicine more relevant for young adults and children! Our visits to primary schools continue until the end of November, and start again next semester. Our socials open to members and non-members will take place in week 10 of semester 1, and week 5 of semester 2-more details to follow! Other interesting events coming up include our talks’ night, on the 9th of March, where we have two external speakers coming to speak to us about a career in paediatrics and sub-specialties in paediatrics. We are also taking part in Fife Science Festival on the 14th of March! Keep up with us as we also have our end of term food collection at Morrisons, to collect food supplies for Storehouse! Finally our AGM will take place in early April, so make a note of the date in case you want to be part of the fantastic committee of Teddy Bear Hospital for next year!
